Josiah Williams

Welcome to my page! I am a senior Trombone Performance major with an English minor. I am proud to take full advantage of the collaborative culture at Blair, performing with the Vanderbilt Wind Symphony and Vanderbilt Orchestra as well as chamber ensembles like brass quintet, brass choir, and trombone quartet. I also love to play jazz and have performed with the Blair Big Band, the Blair Jazz Combo and the Nashville Jazz Composers Collective. I marched as a member of the euphonium section of Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps in 2013 and 2016. I pursue my academic interests of English, Logic, and Classics at Vanderbilt and I plan to attend law school after my time here. I host a weekly radio show entitled “The Vinyl Frontier” as a DJ with the college radio club WRVU. I love running and playing volleyball, and enjoy reading and writing poetry.

Music offers us a glimpse into the Kingdom of Heaven.
