Welcome to my page! I’m a junior trombone performance minor from Louisville, Kentucky. I began my musical adventures at the age of five on a cello that looked more like a violin. I added trombone to my musical repertoire in middle school, studying with Dr. Brett Shuster of the University of Louisville. Before coming to Vanderbilt, I was able to take part in programs such as the Louisville Youth Orchestra as well as All-State Band and Orchestra with both instruments. At Vanderbilt, while I continue to take cello lessons, my musical focus is devoted to trombone. Outside of Blair, I am majoring in Earth and Environmental Science with an additional minor in Environmental Sustainability. I have the privilege of being involved in research in the EES department, and when not in a practice room, I can be found staring through a microscope or dreaming about rocks. Outside of my musical and academic commitments, I enjoy spending time with my horse at home in Louisville and reading everything and anything with words.
